My Role
I organized, conducted interviews, wrote and edited everything (except the Governor’s message). Was I some kind of exporting expert? Absolutely not. I just chose to camp out at the public library to get a feel for the world of exporting.
The Rest of the Story
Right before handing off the Word file to the graphic designer for layout, I started doing spot checks of the phone numbers we were about to publish. After all, a phone number is useless if even one digit is wrong. I flipped through the pages and started calling at random. Alarm bells rang when I reached a series of wrong numbers. So I called the client: “We’ve got a problem, and I’ve got your back.” Turns out, it was a bad list. Disaster averted.
